A huge week completed by Channel 9’s The Block contestants! As we enter the new build of the house, we start to see the contestant's styling evolve and slowly shy away front the traditional farmhouse style.

Or so we thought…

Winners Tom & Sarah-Jane continue to favour a country-style feel, with their guest bedroom dressed head to toe in tartan wallpaper. With their ensuite & powder room offering some more modern flare, read along to recreate these rooms in your home today!

Going for gold, this couple took a risk with their choice of wallpaper and styling, with a colourful tartan wallpaper and brass fixtures. Gold tapware was used throughout the couple's ensuite and powder room, creating continuity throughout the house.

With a powerful wallpaper & colour choice, the remaining features throughout the room will need to be more subtle to compliment this main feature. Tom & Sarah-Jone prove this with their choice of simple wardrobe handles & classic sheer curtains in white. Adding another element of drama, the couple featured a pendant light that creates more shadows and depth to the space. Centering your pendant over the bed is a fantastic way to add ambience and balance to a room.

Opting for a more traditional bathroom layout with the main vanity and wet area separate from the toilet, Tom & Sarah-Jane have created two unique spaces that both offer a lot of styling flare. With gorgeous brushed brass tapware and bathroom accessories, the couple tied all of this together with a simple timber vanity & impressive above-counter basin. Opting for face-level storage thanks to Shaynna Blaze’s request, the addition of this shaving cabinet is a perfect storage solution that works beautifully alongside these dramatic wall sconces.

The finishing touch to this couple’s ensuite was the addition of their third room - the powder room. This stunning space offers a lot despite its compact nature. With another beautiful wallpaper chosen, the inclusion of a wall-hung basin with a shelf eliminates the need for a full vanity while maximising minimal space. Completing this look is the simple round mirror and matching brass concealed toilet buttons - thoughtful touches that truly complete this look.
