The original 1970s bathroom and separate toilet were each very small. Combining the two rooms, and the clever placement of a wall to create an open wet area, has really opened the room right up. As a result, the Luna stone bath has been allowed to feature.
Before this renovation of a 1970’s home, the existing bathroom was small with a separate toilet. Creative designing altered the layout and moved existing doorways to achieve an impressive modern bathroom with stylish powder room.
In order to accommodate a toilet within the bathroom, a 750mm vanity was chosen. However there was no compromise on storage space as the new 1500mm recessed shaving cabinets provide ample storage and open up the room. The glass shower screen, floating vanity and fluorescent lighting over the mirrored cabinets and stone vanity top creates a sense of space and the recessed shower niche is both elegant and trendy.
The home was approaching 20 years old and the bathrooms were looking tired and out of date compared to the rest of the house which had been renovated 2 years previously. Aiming to stay in the house for sometime, the client wanted to spruce them up and enjoy them.
Both bathrooms were very small, so with clever management of layout, along with selection of quality fittings and finishes, these bathrooms are both practical and luxurious. Enclosing the cistern in the wall of the ensuite has given more space and looks sleek and unobtrusive. The little lights in the drawers of the vanity really surprise at first but are both practical and fun.
Last but not least, the bath. Luxurious looking and is a hero, even in the small space.
The owners of this bathroom get "Wow" comments on their stunning renovation, and rightly so. This is a great example of what can be achieved when you keep the design simple and use quality products that speak for themselves. Modern minimal lines are carried through from the bath, which is allowed to be the unashamed hero of the room, to the wall hung toilet.
The monochrome colour palette allows the shapes to sing, with the circular mirror echoing the bath's and accessories' curves and providing contrast to the square forms in the room. The cleverly tiled storage niche above the bath is a great combination of form and function.
This is a small 2.4m square en-suite and the previous positioning of the door gave the bathroom a very inefficient layout. It had a cramped shower and a small single basin vanity.
There was no space to make the en-suite any larger but, by moving the door, it enabled a change to the orientation to give better use of space. There is now a double shower and a 1200mm vanity with double stone sinks, and more room was gained using the Geberit in-wall toilet cistern.
Monochrome magic, prior to the renovation, this bathroom was outdated and the client had been looking into renovating it for a couple of years. The end result is a total transformation of the space into a light and airy bathroom with clean and practical lines.
The use of a frameless shower screen and light coloured tiles opens the space up and excellent feature tiles make an understated impact. The good quality products will see this bathroom provide years of great service.
The use of vivid whites and softer creams for this bathroom have brightened and opened the area up. Great execution of space and a nice balance between the white and chrome finishes enhance the sense of space. This bathroom is warm and inviting while still having a clean and uncluttered feel as the lighter tiles open up the space well.
This bathroom makes good use of a tight space, well executed neat and tidy. The sliding shower door creates more room and gaining an extra toilet in the house is a great family outcome.
